2021 Federal Budget Date Announced

Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Chrystia Freeland will present the 2021 Federal Budget in the House of Commons on Monday, April 19, 2021. There are many questions surrounding the much-anticipated Federal Budget, one of which is:

  • What is the state of the country’s finances amid an unprecedented amount of spending due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic?


The upcoming budget on April 19, 2021, will be the first budget issued since March 19, 2019, and promises to include details on a robust economic stimulus plan to help the country rebound from the current recession prompted by the pandemic. In addition, the House of Commons’ Standing Committee on Finance has compiled a list outlining 145 recommendations that the Government of Canada should take into consideration.
